Your Next Step helps people from all walks of life whose lives have been affected by financial roadblocks by providing small, one-time grants for temporary bill payment. Grant amounts vary from applicant to applicant depending on eligibility. You may be eligible for one of our grants if you meet the general criteria.

As a non-profit organization, Your Next Step is required by law to perform due diligence on all applications we receive prior to making a grant.
Before we can review an application we must have certain documentation.

In addition:
All resources through your state, county or local organizations, should be exhausted before seeking our assistance.
All documentation is completely confidential. All documentation must be received no later than 30 days after your application is filed or your application will become null and void.

Grant Application


 

Guidelines:

1. Size: Please limit your story to 500 words or less.  

2. Photos: You may attach (or mail) up to 2 photos with your application. Photos should be in .jpg, .gif or .bmp format if you’re e-mailing them. NOTE: You must attach a photo with your online application, otherwise the application will not come through to us.
3. Pay it forward: Just as you appreciate the opportunity to receive a grant, we appreciate your assistance in being able to help another struggling Oregonian. Please include a statement in your application stating that if you do receive a grant from us, you will make a minimum $25 donation to Your Next Step within 12 months of receiving the grant.
