After my son passed away in 2002 my depression grew worse. Thankfully, we still have 2 children who are alive and healthy. My wife was able to hold a job until 2008, now the burden is on me to keep us afloat. This put a lot of stress on our family. My wife had surgery 8 months ago and we have suddenly found ourselves with a large medical bill. I have a good solid job with great medical benefits. We thought our insurance would take care of the surgery bill, but we recently found out the bill has been sent to collections. We tried to get a lower monthly payment for our house, but were denied due to bad credit from this bill. If we could just get some help with this bill, we could be ok. What to do? ~ Scott D.
