I am single, 41 yrs young, no children, some college education and very involved in community building. I have always taken care of myself and have lived an honorable & adventuresome life. I moved to Portland in Nov. 2008 to escape the massive fallout from the foreclosures that would gradually have a negative impact on the fair trade shop I owned for 3 years. Never did I expect to face an already deteriorating economic storm that was brewing. I have gone from renting a room in an apt. to living in my van for a month and finally borrowing money to buy a 13 ft. trailer. I just landed a waitress job last week which will help to get my bills back on track, but I still need help now. My hourly work week is 30 hrs. I kept my van from being repossessed by going through my bank's mitigation department. I have not been able to make my van payment or my car insurance payment since May 2009.
